Coco's Is Being Inhabited by a Pair of Food Vendors
Food from the street in a real life restaurant.
Rather than leave their restaurant in hibernation during an overseas excursion, the owners of rustic Italian eatery Coco’s Cantina are handing over the keys and the kitchen to a pair of mobile food vendors.
From September 10 - 19, mother-daughter pie-making duo The Pie Piper and contemporary Chinese pop-up Judge Bao will park up in the K’Rd institute to serve up a marriage of modern Chinese and American cuisine.
The set menu for the event dubbed Viva La Revolution will consist of a selection of small plates, including fried chicken, meatballs, vegetarian cheese grits; big plates consisting of beef brisket meatloaf, roast chicken with with siu mai stuffing, a Sloppy Joe/Mapo Dofu fusion, and whole steamed fish. Rounding off the menu will be a new take on The Pie Piper’s infamous American-style dessert pies in three flavours: lychee coconut cream with macadamia crust, sweet potato sesame and plum with orange infused cream.
Viva La Revolution will be open for dinner from 5pm to late, Thurs 10, Fri 11, Sat 12, Wed 16, Thurs 17, Fri 18 and Sat 19 September. No reservations.
