Moustache Milk & Cookie Bar Opens Its Third Auckland Location
The cookie bus will pull up its handbrake for the very last time.
After conducting a scavenger hunt around the city for ginormous, head-size marshmallow cookies, Moustache Milk & Cookie Bar has revealed the location of its third store. The good news for everyone in the Auckland region (sorry rest of country) is that the time has come for the company's Milk & Cookie Bus to pull up its handbrake for the very last time. The 1979 Bedford will complete its transformation into a full-time cookie shifter at Orakei Bay Village.
If you've been living under a ginormous, head-size marshmallow cookie, Moustache has had quite the ride keeping its dream alive for the past few years, including a 7,000-strong petition against a landlord to prevent a ridiculous rent hike, crowd-funding to support their next move while living off the shoestring budget of $5 a day, moving into the 10-metre-long milk and cookie bus and then taking said cookie bus around the country. More recently, Moustache stores have popped up on Auckland's K' Road and in the University Quad.
The new Moustache bus-store will be positioned and operating in Orakei from 4pm this Friday. Thereafter it will be open from Wednesday - Saturday, 10.30am-10pm and Sunday, 10.30am-6pm.
Moustache owner Deanna Yang says that with the late nights hours she hopes to bring more cookie-inspired desserts to the menu, including cookie cheesecakes, edible cookie dough and cookie cakes. You'll also find all the classic cookie flavours like: Snickers Bar, Nutella, Oreo, Cinnamon Donut, Peanut Butter.
The first 50 customers at the new Orakei location will receive a free treat in their bag.
