Sidart and Cassia Are Launching Contactless Takeaway and Delivery Menus
From next week you'll be able to sample progressive Indian and highbrow French-inspired cuisine at home.
Over the past few weeks you may have joined Sid Sahrawat and his children to cook sticky master stock pork ribs or Balinese chicken. The esteemed restauranteur behind Sid at The French Cafe, Sidart and Cassia took his talents online in the thick of the COVID-19 lockdown to provide for a series of kid-friendly cooking tutorials.
With some lockdown restrictions set to drop to Alert Level 3 from next week, you'll soon be able to let Sahrawat do the cooking. Contactless takeaway and delivery menu options for the family's three restaurants will be available from Tuesday, 28 April.
Sid and his chefs have created dishes that "will travel" while still showcasing the flair of each restaurant, including contemporary Indian from Cassia, elevated or progressive Indian by way of Sidart and highbrow French-inspired cuisine from Sid at The French Café.
Sidart has six dishes on offer, all served with pull-apart garlic bread, saffron rice and dessert for $45 per person. Expect menu items such as the lamb meatballs with almond korma, fish with kerala sauce or tandoori chicken with chettinand sauce.
From Cassia customers can expect a longer menu with snacks, entrees, mains, sides and desserts. Favourites on offer include the beef short rib with spinach and mushroom or the lamb seekh kebab curry. All mains are $29, each including rice and naan bread.
For those after a slice of luxury at home, Sid at The French Cafe will offer diners an interpretation of five classic French dishes, such as mushroom and truffle lasagne, beef bourguignon with truffle fries or buck à l 'orange with kumara, soy and ginger. Dishes come with salad, sourdough and dessert for $45 per person.
Contactless delivery is available for $8 within a three-kilometre radius of each restaurant, with the radius extended for orders over $250.
Contactless takeaway and delivery menu options for Sidart, Cassia and Sid at The French Café will be available from Tuesday, 28 April. Phone orders are required for orders over $150 (Cassia) and $250 (Sidart and Sid at The French Café).
