Overview

Escape the hustle and bustle of Perth's CBD and head to this sleek and sophisticated converted stable. Beyond the cobblestone entry, you'll find an expansive two-storey space that includes a bar and restaurant fit for a prince. We know because our favourite prince, Harry, dined here back in 2015 — the owner said he loved the food, too. For pretty views of the city skyline among splashes of greenery, find a table on the balcony. And don't let the chilly weather deter you; there's a fireplace to keep you nice and toasty on cooler nights.

Head chef Ben Keal trained in the south of France and serves up the decadent, flavourful fare that you'd expect someone to bring back from that region — think pate, charcuterie, beef rump, brisket and pork belly. Be sure to tuck into the barbecue beef brisket burger. This mighty creation comes crowded with smoked bacon, American cheese, mustard, pickles, mayo, tomato and cos. Visiting on a Thursday? Nab it and a schooner for just 20 bucks. Alternatively, between 11.30 and 2.30pm, Monday to Wednesday, substitute the burger for whatever's available on the Love Your Lunch menu, and you'll spend just $15.

Or, if you're keen to channel your inner royal, order a few concoctions from the fruit-forward cocktail list. The Billionaire Boyz Club with sloe gin, apricot brandy, cherry liqueur, lemon and orange bitters, should have you feeling suitably flush and fancy-free.
