Overview

There's half a chance you'll make an ancient discovery every time you turn over a rock in Greece. Many of the millennia-old discoveries in Crete are attributed to the Minoan civilisation, a Bronze Age culture known for its art and architecture.

Today, this bygone culture is best experienced through the Minoan Palatial Centres, a series of ruined palaces in Knossos, Phaistos, Malia, Zakros and Kydonia. Here, archaeological digs have revealed ancient courtyards, streets and houses.
