Overview

Greece is one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world, with Crete admired for its unique terroir resulting from its high altitude and dry heat. Established in 2009, Zacharioudakis Winery is a top-quality example of the local industry.

Encircling a steep hillside, this celebrated winery cultivates everything from cabernet sauvignon and merlot to local varieties vilana and vidiano.

Open to the public from April to October, head along for a guided tour and food pairing featuring five wines, cold cuts and cheese.
