Farewell

Overview

In a world of hyper connection farewells are taken for granted. A quick raise of the eyebrows and head nod, a "see you later", a thoughtless "bye" etc. So it's kind of nice when an film exhibition picks up on a thing like that and decides to screen a medley of goodbyes.

From August 29 until November 29, the Film Archive will screen Farewell, an assorted collection of footage taken o troop and personal departures of various varieties, in order to farewell their own Curator-at-Large Gareth Watkins.

Through the exhibition Watkins invites you to "look at - and then look between the images to find new pathways and truths".
