Overview
"There are two ways a man can be rich in this world. He can have a lot of money or a lot of friends but he cannot have both." Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Heineken
In 1983, a group of childhood friends (Sam Worthington, Jim Sturgess and Ryan Kwanten) pulled off the crime of the century: kidnapping one of the richest men in the Netherlands, the heir and CEO of the Heineken beer empire (Anthony Hopkins). The shocking capture-by-gunpoint in broad daylight on the streets of Amsterdam-resulted in the largest ransom ever paid for a kidnapped individual (35 million Dutch guilders - about 16 million Euros).
It was the perfect crime, until they got away with it.
