New Zealanders, it's finally time to drop it like it's hot again — because Snoop Dogg is coming back to our shores. For the first time since 2014 (when he headlined Auckland's Big Day Out), the rapper is hitting stages Down Under as part of this new 'I Wanna Thank Me' tour, which'll be playing arenas across Australia and Aotearoa in February and March 2023.

The tour was initially due to happen in 2022, only to be postponed. Now, Snoop Dogg has locked in the rescheduled dates, with giant outdoor shows confirmed for both Auckland and Christchurch.

Clearly, fans of the musician/actor/cook book author/wrestling MC/wine brand owner will be breaking out the gin and juice as he raps his way through the country. The tour kicks off at Christchurch's Orangetheory Stadium on Friday, March 10, before heading north to Auckland's Trusts Outdoor Arena on Saturday, March 11 2023. Snoop will also be inspiring hip hop aficionados to be the life of the party and, if you can remember his time as Snoop Doggy Dog and Snoop Lion across his career, to ask about his name as well.

Yes, you can expect to hear singles such as 'What's My Name?', 'Gin and Juice', 'Drop It Like It's Hot' and 'Snoop's Upside Ya Head', as well as tracks from his last few albums — with his 17th record from 2019, I Wanna Thank Me, sharing its moniker with the tour. Since then, he's also dropped two more albums: From tha Streets 2 tha Suites in 2021 and BODR in 2022, with another, Missionary, also in the works.
