Rhythm and Alps 2014 Line up Announced

Blowing the cobwebs out of the hill flanked region once again.

Rhythm and Vines’ sister festival Rhythm and Alps made its debut appearance in the beautiful Cardrona Valley last holiday season, attracting 10,000 festival-goers to the region. The 2013 event was such a success, that the organisers will be back this December 30 - 31 to do it all again.

UK electro-pop band Bastille were the first of the artists to be announced, and now a further 30 from far and wide have been unveiled. Returning to hill flanked region this year are local drum and bass legends Shapeshifter who will fill the sought after headlining spot on New Year’s Eve. Also returning for this year’s festivities includes NZ-born BBC Radio DJ and music hunter-gatherer Zane Lowe, as well as the soulful Chet Faker who made his way across the ditch last year to Rhythm and Vines in Gisborne.

The international visitors continue with New Jersey hip hop producer Just Blaze, the man behind songs for the likes of Jay-Z and Eminem; DJ, electronic musician and founder of Hospital Records London Elektricity; renowned drum ‘n’ bass act and dance floor igniters DC Breaks of London, Danish indie-pop singer - the voice of Avicii's ‘Dear Boy’, Hawaii-based producer Mr Carmack, and Guyanese dub producer Mad Professor in what will be his first South Island appearance.

Rounding off the line-up includes Addison Groove, The Cuban Brothers, State of Mind, Ayah Marar, Meta and the Cornerstones, Little May, Team Dynamite, Doprah, Sorceress, Kamandi, Haz Beats, Longwalkshortdock, The Nomad, Kev Fresh, Uone, Timmus, Drax Project, Play DJ’s, Deep Fried Dub and Ribera.
