In August the organisers of Rhythm and Vines lifted the lid on their first artist lineup, confirming 32 (out of 100) acts for the 17th edition of the festival. A taster of those previously announced to appear at Gisborne's Waiohika Estate from 29–31 December includes British electronic duo Disclosure, Sydney's Alison Wonderland in the all-important New Year's Eve slot and American trap producer RL Grime.

The second lineup has now dropped with Atlanta rapper and A$AP Mob's Playboi Carti leading the bill. The 'Magnolia' hitmaker will take the stage at Rhythm and Vines on December 30, marking his New Zealand debut. The rapper was previously scheduled to perform at Auckland's Powerstation in March.

Other acts set to perform during the three-day festival include Australian DJ duo Cutsnake, sun-kissed psychedelic outfit Babe Rainbow, hip hop emcee Hooligan Hefs, and New Zealand music legend Dave Dobbyn.

Flamingo Pier, Waste Records and the festival charity LIFELINE will each take turns hosting the Garden Stage, while dubstep fans will likely be happy with the additions of UK producers Monxx and 1991 on the bill.

Organisers are expecting the final remaining three-day passes to sell out within the month, and limited single-day tickets to run dry leading up to the festival.
