Concrete Bar

A drinking halfway house.

Overview

A halfway house for hillside dwellers and well-suited business folk on Lambton Quay, Concrete Bar finds itself nicely placed less than 10 metres away from the cable car - making the old "it's too far out of the way" going out excuse absolutely redundant.

The bar's minimally decorated, with some key black leather chairs and alcohol and mirrors lining the bar's wall. Besides alcohol, the bar offers a comprehensive menu full of tapas and more substantial meals - including wild mushroom arancini ($13) and a seared lamb salad ($21).

Concrete Bar is a nice starting point for an indecisive bar hopper's night, catering to all those yet to decide between 'going out', 'staying in' and having 'just one drink'.
