Dirty Little Secret
Not-so-secret, but for good reason.
Overview
Well, it used to be a secret. Nowadays Dirty Little Secret is the perfect perch for a balmy summer night, perched high above on the corner of Dixon and Wakefield with a sweeping view all the way down Courtenay to the mighty Embassy and up to Mt. Vic.
Early in the eve, it's sweet for a cold craft beer with your mates on the bean bag chairs, soaking up the last of the sun before heading to a table and ordering dinner. Their menu runs the gamut really, from sandwiches to burgers, chips and steaks— just really classic, good fare that's easy to eat with friends after work or gearing up for a big night of bar-hopping.
Drinks-wise, they're pretty standard for a good Wellington bar— a broad selection of craft beers (Garage Project is always going to be there), and a wine list that revolves pretty regularly (Mahi is always a good bet). You're always going to have a great catchup with friends here, with the atmosphere not too loud, nicely lit and perfectly situated as a springboard for the rest of the night (or just stay there— DJs and dancing are a regular thing at DLS).
