Overview

As we head into the festive season we're all about sparkling vino at all hours of the day. But one Pōneke bar dares ask the question why keep it just for celebrations and Christmas? Why not drink champagne — all the time?

After all, in the famous words of Mark Twain, "too much of anything is bad, but too much champagne is just right." Enter The Champagneria – a new bar dedicated to fizz in all its forms.

Dedicated to sparkling wines and champagnes from around the world, the Courtenay Place bar has a range of champagnes from France, cava from Spain, prosecco from Italy and 'new world' bubbles, available by the glass — and to be enjoyed in an "unpretentious and fun environment".

If sparkling wine ain't your thing, don't fret — there are also craft beers and cocktails to wet your whistle. Of course, with all that booze you'll want something to line the tum so you can opt for delicious tapas or one of the Champagneria's famous platters dedicated to each major winemaking region.

There's also a dedicated dog menu for four-legged friends who are more than welcome, and two-hour bottomless brunch sittings for $60 pp. To check out the menu and learn more, head to the website.
