Overview

One of the latest and greatest culinary trends has been themed afternoon teas. There have been boozy late-night sessions with whimsical cocktails, tea parties for gin lovers, and afternoons of gastronomic magic for wizards, witches, goblins and muggles.

This month, as part of Wellington On a Plate, an exotic world of cobblers, ices, crustas, jellies, punches, shrubs, slings, puddings and pastries will be served at The Library. The cosy venue's Austen-tatious Cocktail Party takes a page from the six novels of Jane Austen, celebrating the picnics, luncheons, dinner parties, and glamorous balls of her romantic and spirited world.

Tickets to the event include five Austen-inspired cocktails, Austen-inspired high tea sandwiches and pastries, and Libertine Blends tea. Dress to impress in regency-era Georgian garden party gear. There are four sessions to choose from.
