Overview

Billed as a play for those who love TV crime drama Broadchurch, you can't miss Circa Theatre's Anahera. It's already standing tall for critics as one of 2017's best productions.

A finalist in the 2016 Adam NZ Play Awards, Anahera looks into the life of the Hunter family: the perfect nucleus of a great marriage, successful careers, beautiful home and two perfect children — until son Harry goes missing. Supported by social worker Anahera, they sit and wait for developments from the police. It's a contemporary domestic thriller about a family thrown into times of struggle, and the angel who watches out for them.

This is the premiere production of Anahera, directed by award-winner Katie Wolfe (Waru, The Mooncake and the Kumara, The Women). The twists that conspire in Anahera will shock you, despite its Kiwi familiarity. It makes for compelling theatre.
