Overview

Calling all gaming, animation and visual effects enthusiasts, professionals and students. AnimfxNZ is returning to Wellington. Now in its ninth year, the conference brings together some of the smartest cookies in the global digital entertainment industry for two days of learning, sharing and networking.

The 2014 outing features a globe trotting line-up of speakers including: Dean DeBlois - the writer and director of animated blockbuster How to Train Your Dragon, Michael Polis - the President of Atomic Toybox Entertainment Inc, Australian sound composer Stephan Schütze, Dean DeBlois - a writer and director for Dreamworks, several high flyers from NZ’s own Weta Digital and Fabian Erlinghauser - the Animation Supervisor for Irish fantasy film Song of the Sea, which will also make its NZ premiere at the event.

Nyuk Nyuk Games and Gamefroot.com will also launch their new game, Standoff.
