Overview

Valentine's Day in the capital is an easy one. Wellington is filled with intimate bars, romantic dinner spots and waterfront walks by the sunset. Another great way to spend this Valentine's is stargazing with the one you love.

Spend the evening traveling through the Milky Way with stories of the ancient celestial past guiding your journey. Hosted by Space Place at the Carter Observatory, the special Aphrodite's Delight session is $70–95 per couple. It includes admission to Space Place where you can explore the stunning interactive galleries, be treated to a special planetarium show about famous romances of mythology, telescope viewing (dependent on weather), a glass of bubbly, and delicious treats for two.

Located at the top of the Cable Car, the Observatory's stunning views of the city will just be the beginning. A great way to start your night or as a post-dinner treat, you'll love the experience either way. There are four one-hour sessions available, running at 4.3opm, 6pm, 7.30pm and 9pm.
