Overview

There's a perfect night out for every Wellingtonian. For the group of four+ friends that just can't get enough of eco-farming, biodynamic wines or low-waste Filipino food, there's Black Sheep: A Cult Gathering.

Happening on Monday, 24 June, the capital's most conscious consumers will be treated to a spectacular three-course meal at Shepherd. Carlos Buenaventura, co-founder and chef of Auckland's The Cult Project, uses warmth, charm, memories of a wild youth and a recent exploration to the Negros region to deliver a mouthwatering evening of fusion cooking — where New Zealand seasons, surroundings and show-stopping sunsets influence traditional Filipino tastes. It won't be an evening to miss at Shepherd.

Joining Chef Carlos is the man behind the wine bottle — Richard Klein. Of Artigiano, Klein is both a friend, wine importer, and incredible supporter of a low-waste future for New Zealand. Bringing not one, not two, but three wine matches for the evening, you'll leave having Richard as your friend too.

If an eco-conscious Filipino-fusion evening with biodynamic wine sounds like the best night away from your flat, be quick to get yourself a ticket. Both vegetarians and pescatarians can be catered for, so grab a group of friends together and share those plates at Shepherd – it's a one-time only offer.
