Overview

With a name as upbeat as CubaDupa, you can't help but expect something a little bit magical from the Cuba Street festival. The arts festival is a homage to Cuba's creative spirit with a series of audience interaction-based events (dance workshops, music, theatre, live street art, circus acts etc. etc) held throughout the weekend.

Highlights of the festival include radio-controlled teapot racing; flash mobs; BBEALS - a collaboration show between Footnote New Zealand Dance and French company Danses en L’R; a pop-up performance by Drax Project; a swing dance workshop with Richter City Rebels as the musical backdrop; and Dining in the Streets - which will turn the entire street into a large outdoor café.

CubaDupa runs from 12 noon to 12 midnight on Saturday 28th and 12 noon to 5pm on Sunday 29th.
