Overview

Dream folk outfit French for Rabbits are hitting the road this December in celebration of their brand new single 'Highest Hill', released on 27 November.

A song about being vindictive and vengeful, it is an additional counterpoint to their acclaimed sophomore album The Weight of Melted Snow. The album is having a rebirth of sorts, with its international release in 2019. A beautifully delicate record, The Weight of Melted Snow reflects on the doomed relationship of founding French for Rabbits members Brooke Singer and John Fitzgerald.

Thankfully for us, they still continue to write and make music together, crafting elegant songs of poetry and poise. To top it all off, French for Rabbits are also gracing the stage of Austin's incomparable SXSW festival. With so much to celebrate, it seems only fair that they bring  internationally acclaimed multi-media artist Lady Lazer Light to create "an ethereal visual dreamscape" to take their live music to the next level.

Brooke and John will perform with Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa, Penelope Esplin and Ben Lemi. Up and coming indie singer-songwriter Mystery Waitress will be opening for French for Rabbits when they perform at Te Ahaha Musical Theatre on Thursday, 6 December.
