Think you've got an iron stomach? As part of Welly On a Plate, the capital's first dedicated urban winery is hosting a one-night-only celebration of stinky wine, beer and food.

Held on Saturday, 3 October at Te Aro Wine, Funk Factor is a live interactive game show where participants will put their sniffers to work and discover exciting (but mostly smelly) foods. Kimchi, durian and cheese will all feature, while sour beer and natural wine will serve as the chasers.

The $59 ticket price includes the show, stinky snacks and wild drinks on arrival. Team captains, or anyone brave enough, will also have the chance to attempt the 'Funk Factor Challenge' in an effort to be crowned 'Wellington's Strongest Stomach'.

Visa Wellington On a Plate is set to return for its 12th year from 1–31 October with more than 100 flavour-packed events, special dining menus, burgers and craft cocktails.
