Overview

Parkin Drawing award finalist Hannah Beehre will be teaching a weekend drawing workshop in collaboration with the William Kentridge exhibition The Refusal of Time showing currently at City Gallery Wellington.

The hands-on and practical workshop will teach various techniques in working from moving image, to create large scale drawings in charcoal and mixed media. The drawing workshop is timed to follow up with a screening of William Kentridge's Drawing for Projection on Sunday 28th September 2pm.

Christchurch artist Hannah Beehre has been a professional artist for the last fifteen years, and amid her accolades was recently the Artist in Residence at Scott Base, Antarctica. Her work invokes and examines the notions of magic - the exotic, sublime and monstrous.

The workshop is suitable to all skill levels.
