Overview

If you're back from your Euro Contiki and missing that German beer, then it's time to dry your eyes and bring out your Bavarian beer glass now because Heyday Beer Co is hosting this year's best Oktoberfest.

Saturday, 28 September will see the Taranaki Street brewery transformed into a German bier hall, with two marquees outside and tables upon tables inside. With smells wafting in from Fritz's Wieners, and The Steinbenders Oompa Band playing from 6pm, you'll feel like you're back on your Contiki trip — or at least out of Wellington for the day.

Each ticket will not only get you entry to the coolest Oktoberfest in Wellington this year, but it'll also help provide lunches for Kiwi kids around the country. Teaming up with Humanitix, the $25 early bird tickets, or $30 second release tickets are not only helping you have a great Saturday in the city, but they're also helping multitudes of others continue to learn on a full stomach at school — that's a double win. For the more materialistic city-dwellers amongst us, Heyday Beer Co hasn't forgotten that sometimes a little extra in that ticket price can be nice. So for $25 you can get entry to Oktoberfest, a limited edition Heyday Beer Co branded Bavarian beer glass and a pour of Stubentiger Oktoberfest bier. Now that's a lot for just one ticket.

So if you're looking for a place to listen to the perfect oompa band, or you're just in it for the limited edition glass, head to Heyday Beer Co's 2019 Oktoberfest – it starts from 2pm so you'll even get a sleep in.
