Cinemas may currently be off limits under the COVID-19 lockdown, but leading short film festival Show Me Shorts festival is bringing the action to your couch this April. The Iranian Women Short Film Night is perfect for those with a short attention span; it will feature seven short films by top Iranian filmmakers, offering insight into the second largest country in the Middle East and bold women breaking down stereotypes.

Across 71 minutes, ticket holders can broadcast award-winning dance film The Dérive by Tanin Torabi, dark animated short film Ascribed Achievements by Samaneh Shojaei, and Red Dress. No Straps, which tells the story of small girl during the devastating Iran-Iraq war. See the full lineup here.

All films will screen in the Farsi language with English subtitles.
