Overview

Jack Carty's been under the radar since his last release, 2014's Esk, but now he's back with Home State. His downright lovely mix of melody, wit and lyrical turn of phrase makes for a beautiful show, playing at Fringe Bar this Saturday.

His trademark honesty and hopefulness, paired with a couple of years of evolution - wiling away in his Brisbane apartment writing, recording and producing - has turned him from a "lovelorn boy" to "a man of quiet confidence with a renewed excitement for stories and songwriting." His intimate shows and small crowds really let you get to know Jack's craft, and his funny stage presence makes for a lovely night. He also just nabbed a biannual APRA Professional Development Award for his efforts.

He'll be supported by another Jack, namely Jack Larsen, Victoria University student and accomplished muso. This pair are the perfect chill Saturday night.
