Overview

No skills or experience required, Southern Cross is inviting you and all your friends to have a go at drawing from life. On the third Monday of each month, Southern Cross will be hosting a two-hour life drawing class in its Guest Room. With plenty of eats and drinks to go around, your creative juices will be flowing in no time.

If you don't feel particularly confident with your artistic skills or don't think you could draw a body to save your own life, don't fret. This drawing session will be tutored by local creative, Dan Wilkinson, an artist and teacher at The Learning Connexion in Lower Hutt.

Bring your own sketchbooks and drawing paper as well as pencils, pens, charcoal or whatever you chose to create your art with. Creative freedom is very much encouraged.

There's no need to book, simply bring enough cash for the class ($10–15), a bowl of hand-cut fries and a drink or two. There are limited spaces available and they work on a first in, first served basis, so get in quick to avoid disappointment.
