Cosy cocktail bar and reading room The Library has been serving up a Lord of the Rings menu for the past few weeks, and will be saying hurrah with a themed party to rule them all. 'Gaffers Brew' and 'Eleventy First' – a magical hot buttered rum — are on the drinks list, while you can round off the experience by cracking open the 'Eye of Sauron' for dessert.

Live elven jazz will set the mood and there will be prizes for the best dressed. Without a booking, you can expect at least one overenthusiastic staff member to make an example of you, thundering "you shall not pass!"
