Overview

After a string of stellar shows in Los Angeles, Washington DC, San Fran and New York, Madeira is returning to New Zealand with a new EP to boot.

Multi-hyphenate artist, graphic designer and musician Kim Pflaum is behind Madeira. Her alter ego revels in elevated synth pop while tackling hard issues of heartache and betrayal. The new EP, Bad Humours is out now on esteemed Carark Records and Flying Out. Showcasing Pflaum's latest output following from where her collaborations with Boycrush, Brett and Cyril Hahn left off, the EP doesn't hold anything back. She grows, she changes, she lets go, all while exploring the artifice of performance.

Gauzy first single Come On Thru received acclaim from the likes of The Fader, Nylon, and Stereogum, who called the record a rewarding listen. She faces raw human emotions head-on, rather than disappearing into the clouds. The enchanting show will also be supported by Benny's Videos and Girlboss.

Tickets available from Slow Boat Records.
