Overview
Country singer/songwriter Marlon Williams will play Auckland’s Tuning Fork as part of a four-date tour celebrating the release of his new single ‘Strange Things’.
Williams initially rose to prominence as part of the alt-country band The Unfaithful Ways before going on to collaborate with Delaney Davidson for the ‘Sad But True’ album series - which saw them take out awards for Best Country Album and Best Country Song at the 2013 Gold Guitar Awards.
Since relocating across the Tasman mid-2013, Williams has been named the “Artist To Watch” by leading folk/roots magazine Rhythms, performed at the Sydney Opera House for TEDx Sydney in April, and has been announced as the main support for First Aid Kit’s Australian tour in July.
On his foray around the country this July he will be joined by Australian musician Melody Pool and Lytellton newcomer Aldous Harding.
