Mean Doses and Hawt Dawgs
Head to Ebor Street for wine, beer and spicy nibbles.
Overview
On the last Wednesday of every month, Te Aro Wine excitedly presents its latest creations in a comfortable, warm and out-of-the-Wellington-wind setting. However, in collaboration with Taranaki Street brewery Mean Doses, on September 25 they're changing things up and bringing in a few new brews to try — alongside some tangy wines and spicy nibbles.
The pop-up event will be highlighting Te Aro's orange wines and extended maceration reds — pungent, tart and comforting after a day spent avoiding the wind and rain in Wellington. The evening is spent picking out the flavours amongst other wine connoisseurs, those who desperately wish to be wine connoisseurs (the $7 bottle at the supermarket just doesn't taste the same as a handmade, spray-free, locally sourced glass of grape or citrussy goodness) and people who want that glass of wine before they head home.
Mean Doses will be bringing along some swag — previously they've brought along a selection to complement any crafty lover. From the Mean Nights Stout to the Mean Tropical IPA, there's a beer to match any mood, any outfit, and any canapé. Speaking of canapés, there'll be spicy nibbles to suit both the beers and the wine, so if you're looking for a slightly boozy after-work munch with your besties, this could be the pop-up event you've been looking for. Head to the Facebook page for more information as it comes in, or try your luck and head to Ebor Street on September 25 for wine, beer and spicy nibbles.
