Overview

Consider yourself a true crime aficionado? If you've spent many a Saturday night watching hardened TV detectives solve crimes, it's time to take a stab at it yourself — with a cocktail in hand.

A new murder mystery night is coming to the capital this weekend which combines food, cocktails, and.. murder? Sadly, yes. But don't worry, we have it on pretty good authority you won't be in the firing line.

Wellington bar Dirty Little Secret is holding a 1920s murder mystery evening on Saturday, May 21. Punters are encouraged to dress the part (although it's not required if you're too cool or too shy). Doors open at 5.30pm, before canapes, a welcome cocktail and the chance to mix and mingle with other revellers all kick off at 6pm.

Then you'll head downstairs to Jack Hackett's for a delicious main course, followed by dessert and bubbles.

The catch? Along the way someone will face the end of the road — and it's up to the attendees to figure out who did it. The night of food, drinks, and entertainment will set you back $99 a head, so get the gang together and put on your best Only Murders in the Building crime-solving hats.
