New Zealand International Film Festival

The New Zealand International Film Festival's smorgasbord of cinematic treats includes acclaimed movies from Cannes, Linklater's Boyhood, a 3D experiment from Jean-Luc Godard, a documentary about Nick Cave, the sci-fi Snowpiercer, and Kiwi favourites like The Dark Horse and Housebound.

Overview

The 46th New Zealand International Film Festival is upon us. For two-and-a-half weeks you can immerse yourself in films from all over the globe. There are heaps of star-studded numbers along with more niche low budget films which most likely won't make it to the multiplexes.

A healthy dose of Kiwi films are included in the programme this year including horrorcom Housebound and the inspiring chess film The Dark Horse. Whatever kinds of films you're into, there's bound to be something that's up your alley. Early bird prices end on July 17.
