Night Noodle Markets

Overview

For those noodle-lovers among us (and who isn't?!), the Wellington Waterfront will be your mecca from Wednesday 15th June-Sunday 19th. An Asian hawker-style Night Noodle Market has made its way over from Australia (just like CP!), where it was established as part of Sydney's Good Food Month in 1998. The market is now a fixture in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.

We're in for a good lineup in Welly- iconic Wellington eateries including Nam D, Monsoon Poon and House of Dumplings will be joined by James Meehan, the chef behind Melbourne's much loved Hoy Pinoy restaurant. Rumour has it Monsoon Poon will be serving up a South East Asian shrimp roti taco with smoked chili sauce, avo and coriander, with similar treats to be found at the other stalls, with dishes ranging around the $5-$15 mark. Entry is free, you'll find it alongside Te Papa on the promenade.
