Overview

When Hataitai favourite transformed into the Japanese-inspired BambuchiSan last year it didn't lose its owner's Canadian roots. On the menu you'll find everything from poutine featuring nori potato nuggets to maple-infused matcha.

Now, the neighbourhood restaurant is bringing the North American nation Down Under by throwing a week-long Canada Day party. From 1–5 July, Torontonian chef Jonny Taggart will be serving up Canadian favourites like bacon peameal sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks, poutine, dirty nachos and pierogies. Behind the bar, Vancouver-born owner-operator Lindsay Phillips will be whipping up Canada's national cocktail, the caesar, with different garnishes every day. Fireball and Southward maple gin will also be flowing, and Canadian tunes are set to pump through the sound system.

Tickets are $10 and include a theme beverage on arrival.
