Peachy Keen
This new festival will bring together both well-known and new female artists.
A new music festival with an emphasis on female artists has been announced for Wellington.
Created by Amber Mossman of Peachy Keen, the namesake festival will host household names like Ladyhawke, Stellar, Ladi6 and Gin Wigmore, alongside fresh acts Benee, Paige, The Beths, Chelsea Jade, Foley and Kita.
Mossman decided to launch the festival after noticing events on the 2020/21 summer festival circuit all had very similar offerings.
"Although stacked with very talented artists, I felt there was nothing that really stood out for me so I decided to curate a lineup of artists that my friends and I loved. And as a proud Wellingtonian, it only made sense to do something here."
The one-day, all-ages festival will be held at Wellington's Basin Reserve on Saturday, April 3, 2021.
