Overview

What goes better with natural wine and some Southern fried chicken than a game of pétanque? With that unforgettable combination, the team at much-loved Wellington brewery Garage Project is adding a new must-see event to your list. Welcome to the first-ever Pet-Nat Pétanque Classique.

Transforming the carpark of Wild Workshop into a purpose-built petanque playing field, there really isn't anything Garage Project can't do. Beginning at 2pm and running until 6pm, you'll find the outdoor bar completely stocked with 2019 vintage Crushed natural wine releases, as well as some of our country's best fried chicken from Soul Shack.

This afternoon of boules, eats and drinks will see the best pétanque players in town walk away with some seriously cool prizes. The tournament is open to all ages and admission is free. Bring some healthy competitive spirit to Garage Project this February and battle it out in order to be crowned the Wellington pétanque champions.
