Overview
Grow Aotearoa, in association with Worker.Be, Urban Oasis and the Wellington City Council, are sending an invitation out to anyone who would like to lend a hand in planting 40 assorted trees in the public orchard in Karori.
The team behind the project aim to create a productive, little oasis for the Karori community where people can learn more about food production, sustainability, and encouraging a love for nature. Beginning in the morning the planting will continue throughout the day until each tree has been planted into its new home.
Along with a plate for a shared lunch, remember to bring a spade or anything else that could come in handy for the day of digging.
