Overview

Melbourne-based producer Roland Tings is Wellington-bound on his Each Moment a Diamond tour.

It won't be his first visit to Aotearoa, having previously played here for Camp A Low Hum and Square Wave music festivals. But this time he also won't be flying solo; the Roland Tings live show now has the addition of a drummer. The new two-piece format made its debut at Laneway Festival and in support of RUFUS, and is certain to only increase the exciting dynamics of the live act.

The producer first came to prominence in 2012, with the release of his debut 12" Milky Way. His career sky-rocketed and in 2015 he signed his self-titled debut full-length with neo-house label Internasjonal which was crowned Feature Album of the Year by Triple J. He has toured the international scene extensively, supporting talent such as Chet Faker, Factory Floor, Optimo and Juan Atkins, as well as remixing artists including Seekae and Banoffee.

The latest appearance in NZ supports his new album, Each Moment a Diamond, which comprises six incredible tracks and showcases Tings' creative, emotional approach to electro. Of particular note is 'Higher Ground', which features vocals of the rising US artist Nylo, and demonstrates why Tings is regarded as one of Australia's most ground-breaking electronic producers.
