Overview

Creative conference Semi Permanent has joined forces with Squarespace to host the Art & Design Fair, providing a platform for New Zealand creators and artists to showcase their goods at Wellington's St James Theatre.

The Art & Design Fair is part of Semi Permanent's Festival of Creativity and Design, a three-day event full of expert panel discussions, keynote speakers, workshops and demonstrations, also taking place at St James Theatre. It's the largest festival of its kind in the southern hemisphere, providing a space for creatives and innovators to share their expertise with rising stars and curious creatives and business owners, and allowing Kiwis to make connections within the industry.

The Art & Design Fair is part of the festival's aim, providing a platform for a range of Kiwi vendors to display their works, with stalls from both independent and large publishers, art galleries and solo artists, photographers and ceramicists — just to name a few.

The fair will also act as a launching pad for many new projects from Kiwi creatives, including Pocket Sun, a curated collection of short stories written by talented New Zealanders. Keynote speaker Simon Devitt will be showcasing a series of his photography books bursting with gorgeous architecture, while Semi Permanent itself will be unveiling their new book 20 Years Forward and Back, recounting the last two decades of the festival from around the world.
