Overview

Tawa's annual street market is back this Saturday, 17 October, celebrating 20 years of community spirit.

The free-entry Spring Into Tawa event will run on the main road of the capital's northernmost suburb from 10am until 3pm. Pipe music, kapa haka and Sri Lankan dance will serve as the soundtrack as you peruse the lineup of local stallholders and grab lunch from street food vendors. There will be free amusement rides and celebratory cake, too.

As part of the goal to be zero-waste, festival organisers are encouraging attendees to bring coffee keep cups, water bottles (there will be refilling stations) and reusable bags for all purchases.
