Overview
The Dark Eighties Dance Party is exactly what it sounds like — an evening dedicated to only the moodiest anthems of the 80s.
The themed party originated on the West Coast of North America, with the touring version kicking off in Canada and Britain. On Saturday, 17 April, it's Wellington's turn to hit the dance floor to cult hits and more obscure tunes spanning genres like goth, post punk, industrial disco, minimal wave and cult.
Attendees are encourage to dress to theme — over-the-top makeup, leather, masks, wigs and gigantic 80s hairdos are all welcome. The shindig will run from 8pm until late.
