Overview

If you're that couple that can never go out because your schedules are just too conflicting — you're the girl everyone rolls their eyes at because come 5pm she's watching The Chase, and you're the guy who won't ever leave the dancefloor till the lights come up — then this one's for you both.

On Saturday August 24, it's time to hit Kent Terrace with your shiny $20 notes because not only is it quiz night, it's also time to boogie. The Quizzing Dance Party, run by IDance, brings you the best of both worlds — a time to intellectually strut your stuff and a time to show the rest of Wellington how well you can do The Sprinkler.

From 7.15pm get that brain into gear (or start stretching) as the quiz comes at you with geography, European history, music that's generally got something to do with Andrew Lloyd Webber or Frankie Goes to Hollywood and football questions about the premier league that no one ever gets except for that one friend that always surprises you in times of crisis. From 8pm the lights dim, the quizmaster disappears into the darkness and you're free to roam the dancefloor, grooving your way around your teammates while contemplating half the questions you probably knew but were pressured into forgetting. Come 10pm, the quiz king or queen's sweaty, smug head will be crowned for all to see.

An unforgettable, and strangely exciting combination for Wellington's quiz-loving ravers, it's surely not an evening to miss out on. All sales are at the door, so have your $20 with you, and prepare to think, sweat, and get a little too competitive.
