Overview

City Gallery's late-night monthly event is back for November. At this month's Tuatara Open Late you'll have the opportunity to learn something new from investigative journalist Nicky Hager and boogie to some tunes from Kiwi singer Jess Cornelius.

Delving into the topic of eavesdropping in New Zealand, Nicky Hager will be looking at what our intelligence agencies did (and didn't do). He'll be answering the questions of who, what, why and when with his perspective on some untold Kiwi stories. The author of seven books, Hager will challenge what you think you know about our little country.

New Zealand-born songwriter, singer and instrumentalist Jess Cornelius will be returning to Wellington from her base in Los Angeles for a performance you won't want to miss — exploring the themes of womanhood, relationships, ageing and existence through a distinctly unique voice and sound.

You'll also get the chance to enjoy a fresh new reading list from Pip Adam and the City Gallery Book Club. Inspired by City Gallery's latest exhibition Eavesdropping, this reading list will include four titles you've probably never heard of before. Each book will be available to purchase from the Gallery Shop. As always, the galleries will open from 5pm and a range of beverages and eats will be up for grabs.
