Last year's launch of The Vegan Vault night market saw many herbivore hearts skip a beet with joy. Since then, the monthly event has become an established all-vegan and cruelty-free night market event.
This weekend it moves from Victoria Street to Clyde Quay School for an even bigger and better experience. Amongst the vendors there will be the event's masterminds Sweet Release Cakes and Treats. Alongside their stall, you can sample plant-based goodness from Taco Addicts, fall in love with authentic Ethiopian food from Chala Creation, scoff potstickers from I Love Dumplings and get your curry fix from Roti Bay.
Although the food is a central focus, the market also showcases local "animal-friendly" charities, advocacy groups and cruelty-free merchandise stores. These groups come together to create a sense of community rarely seen at such an event. To add to the humming atmosphere there is a central eating area in front of a live music stage. All in all, it will be an tasty evening with friends and the perfect chance to swap recipes with strangers.
So turnip and get a bellyful.
