Wellington's favourite creative celebration, Zinefest, is back. With the ever-growing interest and demand for zines and zine swapping, this year's Zinefest will be bigger than ever, spanning across three whole days. Set up your own stall for just $10 or spend the weekend browsing, buying and swapping zines with fellow Kiwi creatives.
Beginning on Friday, 15 November, the festival will kick off with evening drinks and a short film double feature. Stalls will begin setting up on Saturday morning and will continue across the entire weekend. For those who prefer browsing in a less crowded environment, pop in from 11am on Saturday for the exclusive accessibility hour. Make sure to hang around on Saturday evening for an epic bonanza of drinks, dancing and local music.
Sunday's program will include a whole new lineup of stalls, with different sellers from Welly and beyond. Popping in for both days of the festival is the best way to check out the full range of creative and innovative zines on offer. The much anticipated Best of Fest prize will also be announced on Sunday.
