Overview

In support of their six-track mini album, Willow Peak, Wellington’s Wet Wings will perform three shows around the country.

The duo initially formed after meeting at a school choral festival, and went on to develop an atmospheric style of layered pop harmonies and unusual, ethereal backing. Their latest thirty minute release is a follow-up to their 2011 debut Glory, Glory and an earlier released cassette-only EP Skin to Soil.

The folk-garage-pop duo will expand to a five-piece for the shows, something they have promised will result in a more upbeat live interpretation of the songs contained on the record.

Wet Wings will be joined by Skymning and AURA, with Lusty B taking over the DJ decks afterwards.
