Burger Liquor Has Opened a Pop-Up Eatery in Mount Victoria
While the permanent location is being earthquake strengthened.
Wellington locals and visitors alike can continue to enjoy Burger Liquor staples from now until April at the eatery's pop-up location in Mount Victoria. The much-loved burger joint opened the doors to its temporary restaurant at 14 Majoribanks Street while the permanent location is being earthquake strengthened.
Burger Liquor owner Dan says the new pop-up is the 'same vibe, new location'. "We're so excited to be getting to know everyone this side of town," he says. Opening in 2014, the burger bar made a name for itself for serving up burgers and all of the necessary sides along with a selection of bourbon and rum. It's been described as a 'grunge bar meets trendy burger diner'.

The temporary location, right next door to Ortega Fish Shack and and opposite El Culo Del Mundo, features a slightly reduced menu while still offering all of the classics as well as specials every week. The most recent special was the 'Smokey', with beef, cheese, bacon, crispy onion strings with jalapeño mayo and 'Firecracker' sauce.
The pop-up is open for dinner from 5pm until late, Monday to Thursday, and from 11:30am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It will be running until mid-April when the main home base is set to be ready to move into again.
