Three New Tiger Beer Flavours Inspired by the Streets Of Singapore

Originally brewed to combat Singapore’s tropical heat, Tiger’s full-bodied, refreshing taste is the perfect complement to the region’s spicy street food, making it the drink of choice in hawker centres, night markets or wherever a wok sizzles.

Beer has changed. As delightful as a pint of frosty, straight ahead lager is, us ale drinkers are more open minded these days, we want flavours that are unique, unheralded and authentic; perhaps even a little exotic. Tiger Beer has listened to us and uncaged three new beers in conjunction with their Streets Of Singapore event series, which has brought the lively culture of Singapore to Auckland through art, music and food.

Taking on the competitive craft beer market, these three Tiger brews will be available for a limited time at selected bars throughout Auckland and Wellington. If you're super keen to taste Tiger's take on craft beer head along to one of their Street's of Singapore Events, where you'll be able to enjoy Tiger Black, Tiger Green, Tiger White or of course Tiger Beer original with authentic Asian street food. Stay a while and check out art inspired by the streets of Singapore and enjoy aural entertainment curated by local musical talents including Tim Lambourne and SNIFFERS.

Tiger White

Tiger White is a naturally cloudy wheat beer, with flavours of cloves, coriander and orange peel giving the beer a zesty and distinctive taste. Despite being brewed using the German wheat beer style, Tiger White is packed with spice and citrus notes making it the perfect match for Asian cuisine, and the ideal beverage for cooling down in the heat.

Tiger Black (1)

Tiger Black, is a rich amber lager with an Asian twist, brewed with black rice from the fields of Asia, this is a hearty brew to savour. In case you've never come across it before black rice is a rice variety, common throughout Southeast Asia, which is often preferred by locals due to it's many health benefits and interesting appearance.

Tiger Green Tea (1)

Finally Tiger Green Tea is an iteration of the classic lager, brewed with wok roasted green tea leaves. This laces the beer with a burst of floral, tart flavours reminiscent of yuzu (an Asian grapefruit type thing).
