Evil Twins Is a New Hole-in-the-Wall Coffee Spot on Vivian Street
Stop by this little caffeine haven to pick up a hot brew or one of the signature iced matcha lattes.
To say that twins Stephanie and Natalie Chin are a hardworking and dedicated pair is an understatement. Not content with just going through university, they've decided to invest their spare time opening a coffee joint in one of the country's most competitive caffeine scenes.
Success certainly didn't come overnight — the duo spent months studiously learning the art of coffee making from the experts, making sure they knew how to make a perfect cup before opening their doors. Operating out of a cute hole-in-the wall at 3 Vivian Street in the CBD, Evil Twins keeps it simple and does it well. Stop by the twins' little haven to pick up a hot or cold brew, including the classic black and white favourites along with a growing list of house specialties.

Evil Twins' signature drinks (so far) are the iced caramel latte and the unmissable 'Matcha Love' — comprising culinary grade Yame matcha and a vanilla shot. For a treat you can keep in the office or gift someone, Evil Twins also offers grab-and-go jars that are perfect for sharing between two. And with an extensive range of alternative milks available (oat, soy, almond and more), there's truly something for everyone.
Stephanie and Natalie promise that coffee is "just the beginning," with a lot more in store as their brand grows. Both art and design students, they're keen to extend their offering and eventually tap into the merchandise and jewellery space, where they hope their loyal — and fast-growing — fan base will follow them.
Find Evil Twins at 3 Vivian Street, Te Aro. It's open Monday to Friday, 7.30am–3.30pm and Saturday, 9.30am–3pm. For more information, visit eviltwins.co.nz.
